[Raku Pottery Class Spring 2016]

              SEPTEMBER 26, 2016   MONDAY (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

                *This class is open to beginning, intermediate and advanced potters. 

                *You will have an opportunity to work for five hours in the studio creating pottery for a 

                  Raku and Horsehair firing. You may elect to make two or three projects using the B-Mix clay provided.

                *This session, you will have the opportunity to purchase a piece of wheel thrown bisque pottery for the 

                   horsehair firing if you wish to do so.

           Our session will include instruction in Mask Making, Construction of a Lidded Vessel, a small Vase, or an Ornament. 


           Firing Date for Raku and Horsehair: to be determined, (based on the weather), ideally one week after the class.

                 Take US 31 North from Muskegon

                 Take exit 149 Business Hart/Mears (0.4mi)

                 Turn right onto Polk Road (0.5mi)

                 Take the first left onto N. 72nd Ave. (2.0mi)

                 Turn left onto W. Harrison Road (0.5mi)

                 Take the first right onto N. 68th Ave. (0.5 mi)

                 Take the first left onto W. Lever Road (0.2mi)

                 4664 W. Lever Road is almost to the end of the road on the right.

           FEE:  $125.00 for new students     $100.00 for returning students

                 A $25.00 non-refundable deposit will hold your place in the class. Deposit is due by September 16th with the remainder                                    

                 due the first day of the class. This fee will include all supplies and materials necessary for the class. Coffee will be 

                 provided. We will be ordering our clay for the class soon.
